The film, starring Dhanush’s cousin Kannan and Sri Priyanka, (who has rechristined herself as Srija), was released in March this year, but didn’t have a long run. The film has, however, been re-released on Friday, to reach a larger audience. The new version, which has lyrics by Vairamuthu, is produced by Suresh of Studio 9. “The story has a message that deep love is dangerous than anger. The film was shot extensively in and around Sankarankovil. The first half has been shot during the summer, and the second half during winter,” said director Kathiravan.
