Along with Kashmora, Kodi, Thiraikku Varadha Kathai, here’s another film titled Kadalai, scheduled to release for Diwali that has TV anchor-actor Ma Ka Pa Anand and Aishwarya Rajesh of Kaaka Muttai (2015) fame in the lead.
“Good films are always welcomed by the audience irrespective of the budget and cast,” says director Sahaya Suresh. Kadalai is said to be a film with the message of urging youngsters to get into agriculture.
He adds, “Usually, kadalai is a term used by everyone to denote flirting. But it has nothing to do with my film. Aishwarya plays an student of agriculture.”
Having shot in and around Chennai and Pollachi, the film has Ponvannan, Yogi Babu and others, in pivotal roles. “I am an ad filmmaker and this is my first film. We are releasing the film after many issues. My inspiration is Shankar, so whatever I do will have a message to the audience. My next film is a thriller,” he shares. CS Sam, who scored music for Vijay Sethupathi’s Mellisai (which is yet to see the limelight), has composed songs for Kadalai.
