Ravi Arasu, who directed Atharvaa in Eetti (2015), has teamed up with GV Prakash for his next titled Ayngaran. The film, which has Mahima Nambiar as the female lead, was launched in the city on Monday. According to sources, Ayngaran is a city-based action story. “Prakash will play the role of a mechanical engineer. The film will have a fair dose of romance, sentiments, comedy and action. We started shooting in and around the city. Up next, we’ll be heading to locations near the Chennai airport,” informed a source. This is the first time Mahima and Prakash have paired up on screen. Aadukalam Naren, Kaali Venkat, Malayalam actor Harish Peradi and others, form the rest of the supporting cast. Ayngaran is produced by B Ganesh, who bankrolled films including Vijay Sethupathi’s Orange Mittai (2015).
