Rajinikanth has praised Mahesh Babu's Tamil-Telugu bilingual thriller 'Spyder'. The 'Kabali' star had reportedly organised a special show of the film and is impressed by it.

In a statement, Rajini said that "Film is very good. Film has a good message along with superb action part. Murugadoss handled the subject very well. Mahesh Babu has given an extraordinary performance. I congratulate entire unit of Spyder for delivering such a superb film."

'Spyder', released on September 27 is directed by AR Murugadoss and marks Mahesh Babu's first direct Tamil film. The movie also has director-turned-actor SJ Suryah playing the antagonist and Rakul Preeth Singh playing the female lead. 

Mahesh Babu is currently working on Koratala Siva's political thriller 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. The 'Srimanthudu' actor has also reportedly signed a film with 'Baahubali' director SS Rajamouli.
