Me Too has been the talk of Kollywood ever since Chinmayi came out with sexual harassment allegations on lyricist Vairamuthu. Following her move, many other women began sharing their stories on social media platforms.

AR Rahman, the composer with whom both Vairamuthu and Chinmayi have delivered chartbuster songs has tweeted out his response to the Me Too movement. He wrote that he was shocked to see the names of both victims and perpetrators. He also warned that "we should be careful in creating a new internet justice system."

The composer, who last collaborated with Vairamuthu and Chinmayi in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Kaatru Veliyidai respectively, has 2.0, Sarkar, Sarvam Thaala Mayam and Sivakarthikeyan's next in his kitty.
