Actor Prakash Raj Unhurt in Car Mishap

HYDERABAD: Actor-director-producer Prakash Raj met with an accident near Hi-tec City crossroads on Tuesday and escaped unhurt after a bus rammed his car from behind. The incident took place at 3.15 pm when the actor was returning after finishing last day of shoot for his upcoming Telugu movie ‘Rudramadevi’, directed by national award winning Telugu filmmaker Gunasekhar.

The incident came to light when the actor took to Twitter to express shock over attitude of people who took photos post-accident instead of helping the injured. A woman and her two-year-old child were injured. Confirming the incident, Madhapur police said the accident occurred when a private bus rammed vehicles from behind. No casualties were reported. The bus driver has been taken into custody, said K Narsimulu, Inspector.

Nearly six hours after the accident, the actor tweeted, “Had a miraculous escape as a bus rammed into us from behind at a traffic signal. Cars jammed. Family thrown out of an auto. Chaos but...”

He further tweeted, “It was terrifying to see the youngsters...instead of saving people who were lying thrown around...they were busy taking pictures... Shame...” Further, in another few minutes, he tweeted, “More than the shock of a possible death...I’m shaken by this inhuman attitude of people. What’s happened to us.. Where are we heading...???” Adding more, “Realised my helplessness ‘n’ the fragility of this life.. The only way is to live it as long as it lasts. Miles to go before I sleep... cheers,” he concluded.

The five-time national award winning actor is a regular to the city.
