Telugu actress Shanvi Srivatsava gets her golden ticket to Sandalwood with Masterpiece. This is her third Kannada film and a big break for her as she is to star opposite Yash, Kannada cinema’s current blue-eyed boy, who has been delivering consistent hits. Masterpiece will be directed by dialogue writer-turned-director Manju Mandavya.

Varanasi girl Shanvi got the

project quite by chance when the makers of Masterpiece were looking around for someone who could dedicate her time and commit to the project as well as fit the bill perfectly. The model-turned-actress who started her film stint with Lovely in Telugu was well received well by the Kannada audience in her Sandalwood debut Chandralekha, a remake of a Telugu film Prema Katha Chitram. The film was directed by Om Prakash Rao and she played the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi Sarja.

The actress is also working on her current  project in the Kannada industry, which is a remake of Ala Modalaindi. This yet-to-be-titled film is directed by Sadhu Kokila and starring Sumanth Shailendra.

Yash, who is currently basking in the success of Mr and Mrs Ramachari, will start shooting for Masterpiece from the second week of January where he will be joined by Shanvi and the rest of the star cast.
