The buzz around forthcoming 3D historical film Rudhramadevi has just got louder after it was revealed that Megastar Chiranjeevi has given his voice for the epic film under the direction of Gunasekhar.

Chiru had earlier teamed up with the director for 2001 film Mrugaraju, which did well at the box-office. Sources suggest that the duo managed to strike up a rapport during Mrugaraju, which is why the actor-turned-politician agreed to provide his voice for Rudhramadevi. Chiru finished dubbing for the movie on Monday and his presence, even if only just vocal, comes as a boost to a film which has been marred by constant delays right from the start. Chiru’s involvement not only excited his fans but also members of the film industry.

“Inni rojulu RudramaDevi chudali anukuna, Kaani ipudu Kachitanga Chudali ani Fix (I have been wanting to watch Rudhramadevi all these days, but now I will watch it for sure). Missed him On SilvrScreen #Megastar,” Tweeted actor Nikhil Siddhartha.

Tollywood’s first 3D film was originally scheduled to release last year but was indefinitely postponed due to lack of funds. However, the project is back on track and is touted to hit screens on June 26.

Also produced by Gunasekhar, Rudhramadevi features Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun in important roles.
