Baby star Taapsee Pannu calls her latest stint as a wedding planner the result of her creative exploration rather than the insecurity of being a Bollywood actress.
The 27-year-old actress started The Wedding Factory with her sister and a friend and the company has even hosted its first event, a birthday party.
She said she already has handful of offers to host wedding functions. “If you ask me whether am worried about the shelf life, I will say that I had this worry even when I was entering showbiz
because I was leaving back something – a job and a BTech degree. I left all that behind and moved into something which was very risky,” explains the bubbly actor.
But, it was not her insecurity as an actress that made her plunge into the new venture. “I have had doubts but this was not why I started it (Wedding Factory). Besides being an actor, I also wanted to do something else too,” said Tapsee.
The Chashme Baddoor actress is happy that she invested her time and energy in something, which has a disconnect from movies as it can run parallel to her acting career.
“I am happy that I started something, which has nothing to do with the film industry. Unlike the acting career will eventually end, but this business will never face recession. I think I am pretty happy to invest in this,” she said.
