MUMBAI — S.S. Rajamouli has decided against releasing the videos of his songs from “Baahubali — The Beginning” as television promos before the film’s release, following the lead of Aditya Chopra, who also did not do any promotions at the time of the release of “Dhoom: 3.”
Chopra believes viewing the films should be full of spectacles and surprises for the audience. As such, the visuals accompanying the music were not released in any form, though the audio was. Chopra wanted everyone to watch the film’s songs on the big screen in a larger-than-life scale.
Now Rajamouli also wants the audience to watch the movie’s songs only in their full glory.
Though songs and music channels have been used heavily as promotional tools for films, the director is convinced they are unnecessary for his songs which he says are as spectacular as his films.
The music is by M.M. Kreem.
