For any young, aspiring actor, there are certain advantages if they hail from a family of film personalities. In the case of Akhil Akkineni, son of actor Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni, the privileges have been extended to another level.

After Bollywood superstar Salman Khan launched the teaser of his debut film Akhil, sources indicate that Superstar Rajinikanth will introduce the young actor to the Tamil industry, in a high-profile launch.

“Producer C. Kalyan has acquired the rights of the Tamil dubbed version of the film. He’s planning an event to officially introduce Akhil to Tamil industry and he’s invited Rajinikanth to grace this occasion,” revealed a source in the know.

The source added that Rajinikanth, who is currently shooting for Tamil film Kabali, is yet to confirm his participation. Directed by VV Vinayak, Akhil also features Sayyeshaa, grand-niece of veteran actor Dilip Kumar. The Telugu film,  which will be dubbed and released in Tamil too, is slated to hit screens on October 22.
