The last time Allu Arjun and Shruti Haasan teamed up for a film (Race Gurram in 2014), it turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Both actors have since tasted success in their respective ventures and are leading the pack in Tollywood.

Shruti.jpgAccording to sources, it seems Shruti Haasan will again be paired opposite Allu Arjun for a film directed by Harish Shankar. While actresses like Rakul are also in the fray, it seems the makers are leaning towards Shruti.

“It’s a high-profile venture and will be made with a big budget. The makers are keen to have a strong star cast for it and have zeroed in on Shruti Haasan as the female lead. We have already seen how successful Race Gurram was which is one of the reasons why the makers want Shruti as the lead. Also, after Srimanthudu, Shruti’s stock has risen higher and getting her signature adds a bit of a status to the project,” a source pointed out.

The film, to be produced by Dil Raju, will go on floors this August.
