Superstar Mahesh Babu’s new film was launched in Hyderabad on Monday. This will be the Srimanthudu actor’s 25th film.

To be directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film marks the first collaboration of the Yevadu director with the superstar.

The movie will be shot in the USA and it is learnt that for the first time, Mahesh will be sporting a bearded look for his role in the film.

The film is being jointly bankrolled by Dil Raju and Aswini Dutt.

This is Mahesh’s second collaboration with Dil Raju after acclaimed hit Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and third project with Aswini Dutt after Sainikudu and Rajakumarudu.

The puja ceremony was a low-key affair and saw a plethora of guests including Mahesh’s wife Namrata, children Gautham, daughter Sithara and Dil Raju’s grandson Aransh among others participating in it.

Grapevine is that the makers are in talks with DJ fame Pooja Hegde for the female lead’s role.

Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to score the music, while PS Vinod will handle the lens. Meanwhile, Mahesh’s next release SPYder is gearing up for release on September 27.

Currently, the 42-year-old actor is shooting for director Koratala Siva’s political drama Bharath Ane Nenu in Lucknow.
