‘Screen-time doesn’t bother me’

With two films in 2016 which strayed away from mainstream commercial cinema and earned applause from critics, Nara Rohith has been pushing the envelope as an actor and is slowly creating a niche for himself in the industry.

The actor, whose recent film Appatlo Okadundevadu earned critical acclaim, says he was surprised with the way people have received the film.

“We never imagined that the film will be received so well by the people. Surprised to see how audience of all types have appreciated the film.

Hopefully the film will cash in at the box-office this weekend,” Rohith said. Despite being a mainstream hero, Rohith agreed to play a supporting character and even though there was limited screen time, his role was extremely impactful.

“To be honest, I don’t believe in the length of a character. I’m more concerned about the impact that it makes on the film.

These are roles which make me proud since they shape the narrative of the film, even though it’s not the lead role,” he observed.
