Vijay to work his magic on-screen?

The word is that Vijay will be playing a magician for one of his three roles in his next film.

HYDERABAD:The word is that Vijay will be playing a magician for one of his three roles in his next film. It’s believed that one role will be that of a village head and be part of a flashback portion with Nithya Menen playing his pair. The other two roles are said to be the sons of the village head, one of which is the magician and the other a doctor. It’s also said that Samantha will be paired up with the magician, while Kajal Aggarwal is the pair for the doctor character.

Slated for a Diwali release, the film is directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films. The film’s cast also includes SJ Suryah as the antagonist and, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu and Sathyan in supporting roles.
Meanwhile, the Pelli Choopulu actor will also ne seen in a pivotal role in Mahanati. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, is a biopic on the legendary actress Savitri. While the makers have already announced that Dulquer Salmaan has been cast as Gemini Ganesan in the film, this comes as a surprise! Unconfirmed sources say Vijay will star opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who plays a journalist in the film. Savitri’s story will be told from the perspective of Samantha’s character. Keerthy Suresh will be essaying the role of Savitri.
