IN PICS: Inside Chennai's first flower exhibition at Kalaivanar Arangam
More than four lakh flowers of 27 varieties are on display at the exhibition which will be open to the public till June 5.

All major cut flowers from the State, including rose, ginger lily, chrysanthemum, celosia, carnation, alstroemeria, lilyums, orchids, gerbera, gladiolus, anthurium rank, and bird of paradise, have been used. (Photo | P Jawahar, EPS)
Among the exhibits, a huge peacock portrays King Pegan’s act of giving his blanket to a peacock that was shivering in the cold in the Palani Hills. (Photo | P Jawahar, EPS)
The exhibits depict the acts of seven Tamil kings of the Sangam age, who were known for their charitable acts, and achievements of the State government. (Photo | P Jawahar, EPS)

The exhibition also has stalls displaying dry flower arrangements, bonsai, cacti, and succulents. Ornamental and potted plants as well as various vegetables and fruits were also showcased. (Photo | P Jawahar, EPS)
The show is open from 9 am to 8 pm. A fee of Rs 50 will charged for the public (Rs 25 for students). (Photo | P Jawahar, EPS)
