The luxurious Maharajas' Express is all set to embark on its first journey to South India

After three decades of luxury trains in northern India like Palace on Wheels in Rajasthan and Deccan Odyssey in Maharashtra, the 'five-star' Maharajas' Express will embark on its first South Indian journey from June 24 and another on July 1, covering Goa, Hampi, Mysore, Mamallapuram Karaikudi, Thanjavur, Kochi and Kumarakom over 8 days. There are 14 passenger cabins aboard the Maharajas' Express; 5 deluxe cabins, 6 junior suites, 2 suites (seen here), and the majestic presidential suite. All the cabins come equipped with either twin beds or a double bed along with direct dial phones, LCD TVs, DVD players, internet, individual temperature control and electronic safe. An en-suite bathroom with shower is also available with the cabins.
