SBI introduces card-free cash withdrawal from ATMs using YONO app: Here’s how to do it
Follow the steps below to make cardless withdrawals to eliminate the risk of skimming and cloning.
The State Bank of India (SBI) has become the first bank in the country to offer cardless cash withdrawal through the YONO app from around 16,500 of its ATMs termed as 'YONO Cash Points' (Photo | Sunish Surendran, EPS)
To access the facility, you will first have to install the YONO App in your smartphones. Apart from Android and iOS-powered mobile phones, the app can also be accessed via the YONO website. (Photo | Sunish Surendran, EPS)
Once downloaded, login with your SBI internet banking details. (Photo | Sunish Surendran, EPS)
Select 'Yono Cash' from 'Yono Pay' option available in the app. (Photo | Sunish Surendran, EPS)
After the cash withdrawal process is initiated, customers will get an SMS with a six-digit reference number for the transaction on their registered mobile number which has to be used at the ATM within 30 minutes along with the PIN to get the cash. (Photo | Sunish Surendran, EPS)

Only two withdrawals per day are permitted using the YONO app. Rs 10,000 is the upper limit set for transactions. (Photo | Sunish Surendran, EPS)
SBI chairman Rajinish Kumar said the bank is trying to ultimately eliminate debit cards to make transactions more secure and also for the customer convenience.
