The number of people displaced due to war, persecution or human rights violations is increasing manifold everyday. The 21st century’s biggest crisis is the refugee problem. The rising number of terrorist attacks only fuel existing anti-refugee and anti-Muslim sentiments, exacerbating the problem.

During the 1948 Palestine War, which was fought to carve out the nation of Israel, around 85% of the Palestinian Arab population of the lands that became Israel fled or were expelled from their homes, to the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and to neighbouring countries.
