
BENGALURU: AS many as 443 students from undergraduate and post-graduate streams were conferred degrees at the second annual convocation of Reva University on Wednesday. Of these, 15 were given gold medals for academic excellence.
Dean Dr N Ramesh said this year saw the first batch of undergraduate students passing out of the college. “Ninety four students got BCom and BA degrees,” he added.
Meanwhile, the varsity saw its second batch of post- graduates receive their degrees. As many as 349 students from MBA, MCom and M Tech courses were conferred degrees.
Dr Ramesh added that while 70 of them registered for PhD this year, nine qualified.
Nine MTech students and one each in MS, MCom, MBA, MA, BCom and BBM were awarded gold medals.
Dr G Satish Reddy, scientific adviser to the Defence Minister spoke about the opportunities that students have in the field of space technology.He also lauded the country’s achievement in launching several satellites.
