SHIVAMOGGA:Ridiculing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for raking up separate religion tag for Lingayat issue, opposition leader in the Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa said the CM must be awarded Nobel prize for creating differences among castes.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Eshwarappa said the Chief Minister is unnecessarily poking his nose in Veerashaivas and Lingayats issues, thereby dividing people of both castes. “Siddaramaiah is responsible for division between Veerashaivas and Lingayats. The issue is raised as assembly elections are around,” he said.

Kurubas people are getting scheduled tribe certificate in Bidar, Kalaburagi, Kodagu and other districts. Now, Kuruba community is demanding to extend this facility to all the districts, he said.
Eshwarappa also slammed Congress government for hesitating to issue title deeds to the slum dwellers.
