THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM state leadership is of the view that there’s nothing unusual about the Governor summoning Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The state secretariat meet held on Wednesday felt the goverment has very cordial relationship with the Governor. The CPM is learnt to have decided not to play it up. Meanwhile, the CPM central leadership came out with an official stand that there is no differences of opinion within the party over the Governor summoning the Chief Minister or Pinarayi’s outburst towards the media.
CPM justifies CM’s media outburst
Even as Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s outburst towards media has invited the wrath of many, the CPM state leadership is learnt to have thrown its weight behind Pinarayi. Party state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is learnt to have justified Pinarayi’s outburst towards media the other day, at the state secretariat meet on Wednesday.
It’s learnt that Kodiyeri stated Pinarayi’s action was not deliberate and termed it only a natural response to the situation.Decisions of the recent central committee meeting were reported at the state secretariat meet. The secretariat also looked into the current political scenario in the state ahead of the all-party meet on Sunday.
CPM state meet
The CPM state conference will be covered in the first week of February in Thrissur. The party conferences ahead of the party Congress will begin from September. The two-day state committee meet from Thursday will give a final shape to the conferences at district level and lower factions.
