KOTTAYAM: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan on Friday demanded V T Balram MLA, who “disclosed” the alleged ‘settlement’ in the T P Chandrasekharan murder case, be interrogated to unearth the discrepancies in the probe and the ‘adjustments’ of UDF and LDF in the case’s inquiry.“I will lodge a complaint in this regard with the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and DGP,” Rajasekharan told reporters on the sidelines of BJP’s Jana Raksha Yatra here.

“The allegation that UDF and LDF engaged in adjustment politics to save the culprits in the murder case is serious. Congress leaders should reveal whether they tried to save the culprits. If Balram stands by the victim, he should show the courage to disclose more facts on the matter,” Kummanam said.

He said the DGP and the top police brass should summon and interrogate Balram who levelled a serious allegation against his own party colleagues. “People want to know what agreement Pinarayi and Kodiyeri made with Congress while winding up LDF’s siege protests at the Secretariat,” he said.Kummanam also demanded setting up of a special court for the trial. BJP national executive member P K Krishnadas, Anirban Ganguly and N Hari were present in the press meet.

BJP Palakkad dist secretary seeks custody of V T Balram

Palakkad: BJP district secretary P Rajeev on Friday submitted a complaint to district police chief Pratheesh Kumar demanding V T Balram MLA be taken into custody and interrogated over his remarks on the T P Chandrasekharan murder case. Balram’s statement in a Facebook post of there being an ‘adjustment’ between the UDF leadership and LDF in the investigations conducted into the case - which led to the side-lining of the conspiracy angle - showed Balram was well aware of the torpedoing of the investigations, alleged Rajeev.

“Therefore, the police can get further details if Balram is taken into custody and interrogated. The issue of hushing up a murder case is no small matter,” said the complaint lodged by Rajeev. He also sent a copy of the complaint to state police chief Loknath Behera.
