Symptoms
Swelling in an arm or leg that may be accompanied by pain or discomfort. The condition is known to worsen. In many cases, the later stages of lymphedema can’t be completely reversed because the tissue under the skin gets damaged. But in mild conditions, it’s known to disappear.

Treatment
Food habits need to change. Avoid added sugars like fructose, refined grains (especially grains containing gluten) and chemically modified fats. Limit animal products and high salt. Water plays an important role because lymph fluid have high protein content. You need water to move this protein.

Physiotherapy helps and so goes massage and compression. Stretching can reduce the intensity of pain. Compression bandage and stockings are helpful in severe conditions.
