Life is a sum total of vibrations—good, bad and divine. It is rhythmic as well as cyclic in nature. These vibrations are flowing from each of us through our consciousness—chaitanya shakti. This rhythm of life called the bio-rhythmic energy intertwines all aspects of our life together, be it our body, mind, intellect, relationships with the family, friends and the society. During this process, the body emanates a lot of heat. Heat generated from the body should be consciously dissipated either through natural coolants such as an oil massage at least once a week or through coolant sherbets, sattvic food and wearing loose cotton clothing. This way we can control the frictions and heat.
When the friction and heat are well-regulated, our interaction with the society becomes very smooth and cordial. Our entire life depends on what kind of biorhythm we generate. It reflects on our health, state of mind and our consciousness. Balanced biorhythms have the power to tap the potent power of our consciousness. A person with activated consciousness is always established in the state of peace, 24X7. Peace is the core of our human life.
Sages say that peace should extend to all facets of our being—be it our brain, nerves, muscles, heart, blood as well as in the environment around us. Only when we are at peace with ourselves can we be at peace with others. Variations in biorhythms affect our peace thereby altering our state of consciousness. It creates turbulence in the mind and we are subjected to mood swings.
When we get depressed, our consciousness is also depressed. When our mood is high, our consciousness is also high. With a volatile consciousness our thought process is disturbed and this affects our sleep.
The sages say: “The true potential of ‘you’ as consciousness lies in your psyche and your psyche is directed by the biorhythms.” That is how intricately they are all inter-connected to one another. Every conscious attempt to regulate these key factors helps in touching our soul. Good music, healthy food, sattvic company, meditation also help in maintaining a perfect balance between the biorhythms.
Regulated biorhythm, peaceful state of being induce us to do spiritual practices and enhance them so much so that it activates the kundalini. Kundalini, once activated, shoots up all the way to the sahasrara chakra, unlocking the power of all the dormant chakras between mooladhara and sahasrara. We can also call this as a state of partial enlightenment wherein we are constantly experiencing mystical experiences but not yet fully realised.
