Google is back with its ‘Great Online Shopping Festival’ in India. The shopping spree starts today and it will end on 13 of December.

The online shopping festival brings together a lot of leading e-commerce websites under one roof to offer the best deals available for all the shopping lovers.

But, it seems that the ‘Google Shopping Festival Online’ started at the wrong foot.  The site went down right after an hour. Though, Google India has apologized on Twitter, promising to bring the site back up in no time, but the technical issues have not been yet resolved. Instead ,Google has provided an alternative link for all that the buyers have missed out on.

The festival will last for three days and this is the second time Google has taken this initiative. This year there are over 200 partners , which includes e-commerce websites, classifieds companies , online travel websites, auto companies, telecom companies , fashion sites, health and well-being companies , including banking and financial services. All these sites will offer amazing discounts and deals for the festival.

Google initiated this festival so that people in India can have a closer look on the online shopping options. According to Google there was a marvelous response from the Indian shoppers, with most players claiming over 350 per cent growth in their daily sales stats. In 2012, over 50 per cent of the buyers did shopping online for the first time.

The shoppers will be able to get discounts ranging from 20 per cent up to 80 per cent in different categories. The discounts will be offered for all the luxury watches, air tickets (for domestic flights), speakers, headphones, men’s accessories, mobile phones, computers and tablets, cameras, men’s footwear and many other things.

Google India has three partners in crime, Airtel, Intel and Paytm which are also offering some discount deals to their customers.
