Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, was born in Germany in 1963 and received his university degree in 1985 in Stuttgart. Prior to assuming his current role, he had been the President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Taiwan.
Kern has spent three decades with Daimler with various management positions in Mercedes-Benz headquarters, the retail network, as well as in Russia. So far in a short span, he has launched the B Class, rolled out the GL Class from its plant in Chakan besides bringing in other updates of models. Kern takes active interest in outdoor sports like tennis, soccer, surfing, sailing, alpine skiing, motor biking and is fond of travelling.
