Twitter Adds Voice Phone Verification for Digits Developer Tools Login

Twitter has released an update for its developer toolkit, Digits in limited areas.

AMSTERDAM: Twitter has released an update for its developer toolkit, Digits in limited areas.

Digits make it easier for companies to build simple on boarding for their users.

According to The Next Web, it is adding the ability to call the users for a two-factor verification if they do not receive the activation SMS.

If the SMS is not received, Digits will now automatically fall back to calling the user without any changes to their code.

Previously, Digits did not have the ability for the users to change their phone numbers, which could cause some problems for those who lose access to the number, they used to sign up.

The update allows the users to change their phone number via the Digits dashboard, which will notify their app the next time it launches.

Twitter says that Digits means developers do not need to make any major changes, just upgrade to the new version of the SDK.

The changes are starting as an experiment on iOS and the Web in the US, India and Brazil.
