NEW DELHI: American multinational technology giant Apple Inc. is looking forward to the Indian market with its growing appetite for iPhones with the economic downturn in China, its second largest market.

"I see the demographics there also being incredibly great for a consumer brand, and for people that really want the best product. We have been putting increasingly more energy in India," Apple CEO Tim Cook said.

The Indian market stood out as a rare bright spot for Apple, reports Reuters.

With 4G coverage spreading, the Indian market seems to be turning in Apple's favour.

Headquartered in California, Apple Inc. designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software and online services. Its hardware products include the iPhone smartphone, the iPad tablet computer, the Mac personal computer, the iPod portable media player and the Apple Watch.
