The first South-Asian edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), 2017, being organised by India and the United States kicked off in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Ivanka Trump, advisor to Donald, Trump, President of the United States, and his daugher, is the leading face of the eighth edition of the GES.
Over 1,000-odd delegates from across 150 countries are part of the three-day event bearing the theme, 'Women First, Prosperity For All.' Ivanka Trump spoke about inspiring real-life women attending the plenary session, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi compared women to incarnations of goddess Shakti.

Theme of GES 2017
The theme of the three-day event is 'Women first, prosperity for all.'
13-year-old Hamish Finlayson from Australia is the centre of attraction among 1,500 delegates at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
PM Narendra Modi and Ivanka Trump to address the summit shortly as the two dignitaries arrive at HICC in Hyderabad's Gachibowli.
Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be speaking at the opening plenary session on "Be the Change-Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership" at 5:20 pm. She will be sharing the panel with IvankaTrump Marcus Wallenberg, Chairman of SEBGroup.

Roads have been emptied with some schools and colleges shut for the day, while companies asked employees to work from home. Flyovers have been painted, street lights fixed, and billboards erected en route the venue.

Global networking of Entrepreneurs
The event which is being held at the sprawling HICC in Gachibowli will see entrepreneurs from US, Afghanistan, Israel, Nigeria, Australia and India to network with each other, pitch for funding, hear from venture capitalists on starting and running a business, avoiding failures failing better.
