Delhi was put on heightened vigiltonight with deployment of armed police personnel across thecity in the wake of the bomb blasts in Pune.
Roads were barricaded and vehicles checked while securitywas strengthened at vital installations like Parliament andother key buildings.
Police also strengthened security at Jantar Mantar whereAnna Hazare and his team are on an indefinite fast followingthe explosions in Pune. A bomb disposal squad conductedsearches at the protest venue, a senior police official said.
Around 100 more police personnel were rushed to the venuelate in the night. Police closed two of the three entry pointsto the venue as a precautionary measure.
Roads near Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's officialresidence were also barricaded.
More personnel were also deployed near India Gate.
