PM restores supply of gas to Andhra

CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s initiative in leading a delegation to Delhi has paid off. PM Manmohan Singh has given instructions to the Union Ministries of Petroleum and Power to restore to Andhra Pradesh 2 MMSCMD gas that had been cut from its quota to ensure adequate supply of gas to Ratnagiri Power Plant in Maharashtra.

Reddy, after conferring with the PM, had on Monday said he was very much hopeful of the restoration of gas to the state. The air was thick with expectation of positive news on Tuesday afternoon when Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy said the outcome  from the initiative of Kiran Kumar Reddy would be positive and that it would do good for the state.
