Thackeray hits out at Advani

The Shiv Sena chief has accused his ‘respected friend’ of dampening the spirits of the cadre belonging to the present generation in the BJP

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has chastised his old ‘friend’ L K Advani for sounding pessimistic over the NDA’s poll prospects in 2014.

Just out of the hospital, Thackeray resumed writing his editorial in the party mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ with a sermon for Advani in his signature-style brimming with his trademark wit and razor sharp sarcasms.

Reacting to Advani’s untimely statement appeared in his blog, Thackeray has accused his ‘respected friend’ of dampening the spirits of the cadre belonging to the present generation in the BJP.

“Advani’s wisdom and experience towers over the present generation leaders of the BJP. His comments have demoralised the new crop of leaders and cadre in the party,” said Thackeray in his editorial. Thackeray chastised those ‘politicians’ who tried to play politics through their blog. “I have never taken a liking for blogs as I am used to give the battle cry in the open ground,” said Thackeray indicating his displeasure over Advani expressing his views openly in his blog.

Thackeray said that there was exasperation and rage against the Congress all over the country.

“It is this rage which would bring down the Congress in 2014,” Thackeray said in his editorial. Thackeray warned Advani that there was instability in the country and the nation was on the threshold of anarchy.

In such a bleak scenario Thackeray prophasised that only the NDA could give direction to the country. “And my friend who has to lead NDA battle is himself saying that we do not have a chance then who should the people look up for hope,” said Thackeray.

According to Thackeray, the arugument over whether Nitish Kumar or Narendra Modi should be PM could settled later, but the PM should be only from the NDA.

He advised Advani to not lose hope and in case there was drought of courage, he was always welcome to Matoshsree (Thackeray’s residence in Mumbai) to borrow some courage and boldness.

Thackeray said that he was confident that in 2014, NDA led by the BJP-Shiv Sena would rule the nation.
