Suspension of 10 Congress men revoked

The Congress high command has revoked the suspension of 10 party workers who had  been suspended by the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee for daring the party leadership.

Announcing this, PCC chief Pradip Bhattacharya said he had spoken to AICC secretary in charge of West Bengal Shakeel Ahmed and the party had decide to revoke the suspension as the workers were honest.

“I spoke to Shakeel Ahmed. We have decided to revoke their suspension orders as they are honest Congress workers,” he said . The leaders and workers had faced disciplinary action after they flouted the party line by contesting against the TMC candidates in violation of the party line.

Meanwhile, the WBPCC is understood to have pushed for the lifting of the suspension in the wake of the deteriorating political ties between the Congress and the TMC in Bengal.
