Delhi Police is planning to slap a fresh charge of destruction of evidence against former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda, arrested in the suicide case of his former employee, and question an actress who worked with the deceased in his firm.

Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Dharmendra Kumar said they will slap the charge of destruction of evidence against Kanda.

He said they were "piecing together" the evidences collected in the case of suicide of Geetika Sharma, who took her life on August 5 in her Ashok Vihar residence alleging that Kanda and his aide Aruna Chaddha harassed her.

"We will also charge him for destruction of evidence. We have not charged him yet in this connection. We will do it," he told reporters.

Asked whether actress Nupur Mehta, who worked with Geetika in Kanda's casino in Goa, Kumar said, "Everybody will be interrogated."

He also said further investigations were on in connection with the deletion of the Facebook account of Geetika.

Yesterday, police slapped sections of Information Technology Act against him for allegedly sending false electronic messages leading to harassment of the deceased.

Kanda had on Saturday morning surrendered before police after evading arrest for 10 days. Sharma, a former employee of his now defunct MDLR airline, accused him and another senior colleague Aruna Chaddha of harassing her.
