Union Home Ministry has asserted that it has not come across any report of infiltration from Bangladesh into Assam.“We have not found any involvement of external forces so far. But the CBI is conducting inquiries into some cases. If there is something, it will definitely come out,” Union Home Joint Secretary Shambhu Singh said.

Singh heads a seven-member central team, that is visiting the strife-torn districts of lower Assam.

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi had on August 7 recommended a CBI probe into the alleged reports of organised terror groups crossing over to India to carry out attacks.
