VELLORE: A man was killed and his wife injured when the driver of a truck lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into their hut near Arakkonam, in the early hours of Monday.
Harikrishnan (60), a labourer and his wife Amirthammal (55) who were sleeping in the hut located just off the road, were injured and taken to Kancheepuram GH. They were later shifted to Chennai GH, where Harikrishnan died and Amirthammal is under treatment. Nemili police have filed a case and arrested the driver.
