Bombay High Court disbands Shirdi Sai trust

The court instructed the Shirdi collector to overlook the formation of a new committee within 15 days.

MUMBAI: The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has ordered the dismissal of the Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi. The court while passing the order on Tuesday instructed Shirdi collector to overlook the formation of a new committee within 15 days.

The court's decision came on a PIL filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Shirdi president Rajendra Gondkar and social activist Sandip Kulkarni.

Saibaba Sansthan Trust governed the Sai Baba temple, one of the richest in India, located at Shirdi in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.
