Math staff for Pampa clean-up

As many as 3,200 volunteers from Mata Amritanandamayi Math will participate in the cleanliness programme at Sannidhanam and Pampa on November 3 and 4.

Addressing a news conference here on Friday, Swami Jnanamritandapuri said that, of the 3,200 volunteers, 2,200 will take up the task at Sannidhanam and the remaining 1,000 members will undertake the cleaning up work in Pampa.

For the second consecutive pilgrimage season, the volunteers of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, including the devotees from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and students from Amrita University, are taking part in the cleaning drive, said Swami Jnanamritanandapuri.

The volunteers will work in three shifts.

The cleaning mission is planned under the guidance of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, said Swami Jnanamritanandapuri.

The well-planned mission has the backing of well-equipped medical care facilities provided by the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital.
