Four bullets were in Ponty's body, says autopsy

Contrary to earlier reports, only four bullet were found in liquor and real estate baron Ponty Chadha's body in the gun battle between him and his younger brother Hardeep Chadha Nov 17 at a farmhouse in Chhattarpur here, the autopsy report revealed Wednesday.

The autopsy report also suggests that Hardeep was shot four times and that the bullets went through him.

Ponty was shot four times in his chest and abdomen while the other bullets went through his body. Some bullets grazed him, says the autopsy report.

According to the post mortem report, which was handed over to Delhi Police here Wednesday by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), both the brothers died on the spot in the shooting spree at south Delhi's Chhattarpur farmhouse No.42.

"The four bullets extracted from Ponty's body appear to be used by a sophisticated weapon. However, the clarity of the weapon used in the shooting is yet to be ascertained as the ballistic report is yet to come," said a police officer.

Earlier, Delhi Police had said that Ponty Chadha had received 12 bullets while Hardeep was shot eight times.
