Amma to address UN meet in China

Spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi reached China on Wednesday to speak at the conference of United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC), which conveys regional consultations with Asia South Pacific in cooperation with the UN Association of China.  

The conference will be held at the Shanghai International Centre on Thursday and Friday.

The conference is also attended by Ambassador Chen Jian, president of the UN Association of China, CUI Tiankai, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC, and TU Guang shao, vice-mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government.

Over 150 delegates representing governments, academia, corporations, NGOs and cultural organisations will attend the two-day Shanghai Consultations titled ‘Harmony through Diversity and Dialogue’, said a press release.
