Urinal named after Ajit Pawar

When Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar made the ‘urinate in the dam’ comment, it was a first for a Maharashtra politician of cabinet rank to have made such a comment. However, the public have responded in kind by naming a urinal after Ajit Pawar, a first for both the minister and the urinal in the state.

Taking offense to the ‘urinate in the dam’ comment, activists belonging to Aam Admi Party (AAP) in Jalna district in Maharashtra have named a urinal after Pawar. The urinal at Gandhi Chaman area of Jalna was named by AAP activists led by district coordinator Kailash Phulari by putting up a poster with Pawar’s photograph that went with the caption ‘Ajit Pawar Urinal’ in Marathi. Jalna is one of the eight drought-affected districts in Marathwada.

Meanwhile, though the Deputy Chief Minister said that the objectionable comments were the ‘biggest mistake of his life and tendered three apologies in the last three days, the Opposition continued to stall the proceeding of the Legislatures for two days in a row.
