Rauf denies Maqbool links

Abdul Rauf,who was accused by the Delhi Police of being a close aide of Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative Sayed Maqbool, the alleged mastermind behind the deadly twin blasts here, has denied the charges in an exclusive chat with Express.

Maqbool, around whom the investigation into the twin blasts of Hyderabad is revolving, is currently lodged at the Tihar jail in Delhi. According to Rauf,he only met Maqbool once when he was implicated in a case. The Delhi Police had claimed that Maqbool is also close to Abdul Rauf, a resident of Saidabad and a leader of the Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen.
