UP: Five persons killed in rain related incidents

Five persons, including two children, were killed in rain-related incidents in the city, official sources said today.

Akash (5) drowned after he slipped into a drain in Ahana village in Kaisarganj area, while Manoj (10) drowned after he fell into a drain in Jaitapur locality yesterday.

In a similar incident, Shiv Kumar (22) drowned in a pond in Sai village in Baundi area here yesterday.

In another incident Karam Chandra Singh (60) died after roof of his house collapsed in Kela village yesterday, while in Dahav village of Hardi area, Durgavati (30) was killed after roof of her house collapsed, they said.
