Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, who committed suicide on Monday night, was laid to rest on Wednesday by her family, friends and colleagues from the film industry.
Many film actors, including Aditya Pancholi and his son Sooraj, with whom the actress was in a relationship, were present at the Juhu crematorium, where Jiah was laid to rest as per the Islamic rituals.
Actors Reteish Deshmukh, Nagma, Ranjeet, Urvashi Dholakia, Deepak Parashar, Siddhartha Mallaya as well as Kiran Rao, accompanied by her mother-in-law, were present at the funeral.
Following the reports of a tiff between Jiah and Sooraj, the police are investigating if there could be a case of abetment of suicide against him.
Sooraj also happens to be the last person she was in touch with on phone, before taking the extreme step.
However, based on the information provided by Jiah’s mother, Sooraj is unlikely to have driven the actress to commit suicide.
