Punjab to give Rs 10 crore aid

The Punjab Government on Monday decided to grant `3 crore each for the reconstruction work of Kedarnath temple, Badrinath temple and Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib besides `1 crore for other infrastructure work in flood-hit Uttarakhand. The Punjab Cabinet appreciated the pro-active role played by the Army, ITBP, NDRF and other security forces and residents of Uttarakhand for showing exemplary courage and valour to save the lives of people. The state Cabinet also appealed people of Punjab to come forward for making liberal donations for the relief and rehabilitation work in Uttarakhand.
