The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which will take over the operations of the Delhi Airport Metro Express on Sunday, has formed a separate operations and maintenance team to run the service.
It was following the recent letter sent by the Reliance Group’s Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited (DAMEPL), stating its inability to run the airport metro from June 30, that the DMRC decided to step in.
The DMRC top brass held a meeting with the DAMEPL officials on Saturday for discussing the modalities. Officers would be deployed in all the strategic departments involved, the DMRC said.
