BJP promises to let bars open till 12

With an eye on votes of the working youth, the BJP has promised to extend the closing time of bars and restaurants in  Bangalore, if voted to power again. In its road-map for Bangalore city’s development, which was released here on Thursday by BJP national general secretary H N  Ananthkumar and Home Minister R Ashok, the BJP said bars will be allowed to stay open till midnight and hotels till 1 am.

Currently, liquor can be served till 11 pm and all bars are required to close after 11.30 pm.
