The name of new Railway Board chairman in-waiting Kulbhushan is now under shadow as the CBI had claimed that through his contacts, he would manage to get Mahesh Kumar appointed the Member (Electrical) of the board. Sources said that Kumar,who was appointed member (staff) in the Railway Board, wanted be appointed as the member (electrical) for which he had agreed to pay `10 crore as bribe to Sandeep Goyal, business partner of Vijay Singla, the nephew of Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal. As per the FIR registered by the CBI, the copy of which is available with Express, states: “The source has revealed that Sandeep Goyal has informed Mahesh Kumar and Narayan Rao Manjunath (Managing Director of M/S GG Tronics India Private Limited) that the present Chairman of Railway Board Vinay Mittal would retire in June 2013 and Member (Electricial) Kulbhushan, would be posted as the chairman of the Railway Board.
