3 killed, 7 injured in Assam road accident

Three persons were killed and seven others seriously injured in a road accident on National highway-37 at Bondapara in Boko area of lower Assam's Kamrup district today, police sources said.

The ten were travelling from Siliguri side in a sports untility vehicle (SUV) which collided with an LPG cylinder laden truck from the opposite direction, the sources said.

Three of the SUV passengers including the driver died on the spot, while the rest were critically injured and their vehicle smashed, they said.

Stating none of the passengers were identified yet, the sources said the injured were admitted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.

Investigations are on.
